AM Transport Delivers Logistics as a Service and Doubles the Speed of Partner Onboarding

AM Transport, a third‑party trucking and freight-management company, wanted to turn mandated electronic logging device (ELD) data into a competitive “logistics as a service” offering but faced technology limits. After the 2015 DOT ELD rule, the company moved to a cloud Salesforce TMS that sped onboarding, yet the TMS still lacked robust EDI communications and data-mapping capabilities to easily integrate diverse ELD providers and trading partners.

Partnering with Boomi for B2B/EDI management, AM Transport automated data exchange across EDI, email, APIs and more, feeding analyzed load and tracking data back into the TMS as the system of record. The result: communications with new trading partners can be established in one hour and most data mapping completed in four, ELD data is extracted much faster at roughly half the prior EDI cost, and the company now delivers richer omnichannel visibility and faster partner response times.
