A Bonterra Case Study
Wesley Housing, a nonprofit affordable housing developer in the Washington, D.C., and Virginia region, faced disjointed data and labor-intensive reporting. Staff relied on personal spreadsheets and whiteboards to track resident services, making it impossible to get a complete picture of their impact or accurate occupancy data. These inefficient processes hindered internal management and led to denied funding requests due to poor reporting. They turned to the vendor Bonterra for a solution.
Bonterra implemented its Apricot case management system along with Success Services support. A key component was integrating Apricot with Wesley Housing's property management software, RealPage, to automatically centralize resident data. Bonterra's consultants also built automated reporting calculations. This solution saved significant time, enabled compelling data for grant proposals, and allowed for tracking service outcomes. Within a year, logged service data points per property doubled, and the team could directly link interventions to housing stability results.
