A Bonterra Network for Good Case Study
Ovarian Cancer Connection (OCC) is an Ohio-based nonprofit founded in 2005 that has raised funds to support women undergoing treatment and maintains a database of more than 3,000 donors. Despite fundraising success, OCC relied on spreadsheets, PayPal notifications and manual QuickBooks entries, which made it slow and difficult to view complete giving histories, manage event gifts, segment supporters, and keep organized donor notes.
OCC migrated to Network for Good’s donor management system and online donation pages, which automatically import gifts, let staff log offline checks, create targeted groups (like survivors), attach donor notes, and produce easy-to-read dashboards for board reporting. The change eliminated spreadsheet busywork, saved the executive director about 2–3 hours a day (up to 3 hours during events), improved fundraising efficiency and freed the team to focus more on their mission.
