A Bonterra Network for Good Case Study
Covenant House International is a federation of shelters serving youth experiencing homelessness across 34 cities and five countries, supporting more than 2,200 young people each night. Their fundraising and constituent data lived in many siloed systems (donations, events, peer-to-peer, direct mail, email) and some teams relied on paper; when their legacy donation database was slated for sunset, they needed an integrated CRM to improve data sharing, reporting, and donor engagement.
Working with consultant Barker & Scott, Covenant House selected Bonterra Fundraising & Engagement as a unified hub that delivered usability, open APIs, and robust reporting. The switch drove measurable results: an 83% increase in GivingTuesday revenue, planned-giving reports reduced from weeks to minutes, funds reaching sites roughly twice as fast (now 15–30 days), faster crisis and pandemic response, and more effective donor cultivation and capital campaigns.
