A Bonterra Network for Good Case Study
Dup15q Alliance, which raises awareness and supports research into chromosome 15q duplications, needed a more flexible way to expand its peer-to-peer fundraising during the pandemic. Its existing Run for a Reason event worked for marathon runners, but the organization wanted to launch Walk for a Reason so more people, including families and those with limited time or mobility, could participate.
Using Bonterra Network for Good’s Guided Fundraising solution, Dup15q Alliance created customizable peer-to-peer pages and a longer three-month event window that let participants set their own walking goals and schedules. The approach helped broaden participation and engage more families, making the fundraiser easier to join and more adaptable to participants’ needs.
