A Bonterra GiveGab Case Study
New York Council of Nonprofits (NYCON), a 501(c)(3) membership-based statewide association supporting diverse charitable organizations, set out to increase philanthropy and awareness across New York by launching the state’s first statewide Giving Day, #NYGivesDay 2016. To run the 24-hour event, NYCON partnered with Bonterra GiveGab and used the GiveGab giving platform to provide an easy-to-use, scalable online fundraising experience for non-technical users and member organizations.
Bonterra GiveGab delivered customizable campaigns, live leaderboards, and a toolkit of pre-made graphics and promotional assets that helped nonprofits appear professional and build excitement during the day. The campaign raised $11,348,232 from 29,784 donors across 72,204 gifts, while helping NYCON meet member needs, boost its online visibility, foster statewide community among nonprofits, and connect donors with BoardnetUSA.
