Ithaca Underground Surpassed their Fundraising Goals in One Day with GiveGab

Ithaca Underground, a nonprofit that provides a sustainable space for art and music, needed to diversify revenue after rapid growth and new grant awards. Facing the challenge of raising matched funds, engaging non-local donors, and keeping events affordable—and having never used an online platform before—they adopted the GiveGab platform from Bonterra GiveGab and joined the #GivingIsGorges campaign to add an easy crowdfunding option to their development mix.

Using Bonterra GiveGab’s GiveGab platform and its social, discovery, and campaign tools, Ithaca Underground ran Giving is Gorges and year-end/#GivingTuesday efforts that quickly exceeded goals. The campaigns raised $935 from 24 donations in Giving is Gorges and $2,833 total from 62 supporters, helped meet grant matches, fund major events and productions, and contributed to a record year of growth and attendance.
