American Bird Conservancy (ABC), a national nonprofit protecting wild birds and their habitats, sought to grow its GivingTuesday program beyond a single online form to reach new donors and deepen engagement. To run a dedicated Giving Day and tie gifts into its donor system, ABC partnered with Bonterra GiveGab, using the Bonterra Giving Days solution alongside Bonterra Digital CRM for donations and supporter management.
Bonterra GiveGab built ABC’s Save a Place for Birds Giving Day with a branded microsite, peer‑to‑peer “Champions for Birds” pages, livestreaming, leaderboards, and multiple payment options (including PayPal) plus dedicated project management. In 24 hours ABC raised $121,034 from 1,514 donors — a 20% increase in dollars and a 51% increase in donors versus 2020 — with PayPal contributing $23,246 (19.5%); 17 champions raised $6,328 and brought in 82 new donors (4.8 donors per champion). Integration with Bonterra Digital lets ABC continue stewarding and converting these new supporters.
