How the University of Baltimore ended a 5-year giving plateau with Giving Days

The University of Baltimore, a public commuter university in Baltimore with about 4,000 students, was looking for a better way to engage students and alumni online and break out of a five-year giving plateau. Its team needed a stronger brand for its annual GivingTuesday campaign, more real-time updates, and a way to create campus unity around fundraising.

Working with Bonterra GiveGab’s Giving Days solution, the University of Baltimore launched a branded #BowOnPoe giving experience with project support and expanded campaign tools. In 2019, the campaign raised $63,134.21 from 465 gifts by 339 donors, exceeding its $40,000 goal by 57.8%; in 2021, it raised $43,779.50 from 251 donors, and combined with the 2020 GivingTuesday effort, results surpassed 2019 by 23%.
