WhyHunger Scales Up with EveryAction

WhyHunger, a global nonprofit founded in 1975 that advances community-led solutions to hunger, faced a growing data and donor-engagement challenge: their legacy development tools couldn’t support increased access to data, personalization, and multi-channel fundraising. In 2019 they migrated their 46 years of donor data to the EveryAction platform from Bonterra EveryAction to give the whole fundraising team a usable, modern CRM and replace cumbersome legacy workflows.

Bonterra EveryAction enabled deep segmentation, automation, analytics, ticketed events, drag-and-drop email templates, donor self-service pages, and an open API used to integrate Shopify for Hungerthon revenue, while delivering hands-on onboarding and nonprofit-savvy support. As a result, WhyHunger saw a 218% increase in individual giving, an 80% increase in sustainers, revenue jump from $3M to over $6M in 2019–2020 and more than $7M raised in Q1–Q2 2021, putting them on track to triple revenue within three years.
