SOME is an interfaith, community-based organization serving people experiencing homelessness and poverty in Washington, D.C., and email is a core channel for their fundraising and donor engagement. To increase donor upgrades and maximize revenue from their sophisticated email program, SOME partnered with Bonterra EveryAction and tested EveryAction’s Optimized Ask Amounts, a Predictive Analytics–driven feature that personalizes ask amounts for each donor.
Using Bonterra EveryAction’s Optimized Ask Amounts to tailor the ask and the array of gift options, SOME ran an email appeal and saw substantial gains versus similar sends: a 36% increase in amount raised per email open, a 301% increase in amount raised per click (about a fourfold lift), and 74% of previous donors upgraded their donation. These measurable results demonstrate how EveryAction’s predictive personalization identified donors ready to give more and significantly boosted fundraising performance.
