Rock the Vote, a nearly 30-year-old organization focused on mobilizing the youth vote, faced the ongoing challenge of finding, engaging and turning out young people who are unregistered, have moved, or aren’t yet politically active. To scale outreach across GOTV, advocacy and education campaigns while managing surges of new supporters, Rock the Vote relied on Bonterra EveryAction—using EveryAction forms, its EveryAction account and an integrated online voter registration platform to unify supporter data and streamline outreach.

Using Bonterra EveryAction, Rock the Vote captures contact and action data from event sign-ups, petitions and online voter registration and automatically populates it into their EveryAction account. That integration enables targeted, issue- and geography-specific election reminders (even down to city council districts), a welcome email series that reduces drop-off, and the inclusion of voters’ registered addresses in reminders—which Rock the Vote says significantly increases engagement. The seamless data flow eliminated manual uploads, improved segmentation and helped drive higher youth turnout and engagement in recent election cycles.
