How The American Foundation for the Blind Uses EveryAction Donation Forms to Increase Accessibility and Fundraising

The American Foundation for the Blind, a national nonprofit advocating for people who are blind or visually impaired, needed fully accessible online donation forms as it expanded its digital fundraising. In early 2019 AFB adopted the Bonterra EveryAction platform — using its unified CRM, high-converting donation and sign-up pages, and email tools — to support growth while ensuring accessibility for donors with vision loss.

Bonterra EveryAction worked with AFB and consultant K2D Strategies to build accessibility features into EveryAction donation forms, including accessible navigation and tabbed ask-amount navigation, creating a fully accessible giving experience. As a result, Bonterra EveryAction-supported digital fundraising posted strong gains: year-end digital dollars doubled and more than 70% of donors who gave through the platform in December 2019 were first-time gifts.
