American Bird Conservancy’s Save a Place for Birds

American Bird Conservancy, a national organization dedicated to conserving wild birds and their habitats, wanted to grow its GivingTuesday fundraising beyond a single donation form and better engage its community of supporters. Working with Bonterra EveryAction’s Donor Engagement and Giving Days solution, the team looked to expand digital fundraising, attract new donors, and strengthen its membership program.

Bonterra EveryAction helped American Bird Conservancy launch “Save a Place for Birds,” a branded Giving Day microsite with peer-to-peer fundraising, livestream content, interactive engagement features, and flexible payment options like PayPal. The campaign raised $121,034 from 1,514 donors in 24 hours, a 20% increase in dollars and a 51% increase in donors over the prior year, while Champions for Birds added $6,328 and brought in 82 new donors.
