Case Study: Schneider Electric boosts employee-driven giving and new-hire engagement with Bonterra CyberGrants

A Bonterra CyberGrants Case Study

Preview of the Schneider Electric Case Study

Corporate Giving Powered by Employee Passions

Schneider Electric, through the Schneider Electric Foundation, needed to scale and streamline its employee-driven corporate giving—making grants and volunteer programs easy to manage, aligned with employee passions, and impactful from day one. To do this they partnered with Bonterra CyberGrants and its CyberGrants corporate giving platform to centralize grant management and drive engagement across a global workforce.

Using Bonterra CyberGrants, Schneider Electric launched initiatives like a New Hire program (a $25 donation plus 20 paid volunteer hours) and employee-driven grant workflows, supported by coordinated HR and communications outreach. The result was a >10% increase in new-hire participation, support for 100+ projects in 80 countries, nearly 200,000 beneficiaries, 5,691 volunteer days, and over €19.5 million invested—demonstrating Bonterra CyberGrants’ role in boosting engagement and measurable social impact.
