Shipt, a same-day delivery company covering 80% of households in over 5,000 cities, uses its DEIB mission to guide corporate social responsibility programs focused on advancing economic mobility, addressing food insecurity, and supporting communities in need. When it launched its inaugural volunteer week during Hunger Action Month in September, the company wanted to double recorded volunteer hours from the previous year.

To support that goal, Shipt used Bonterra CyberGrants’ Corporate Social Responsibility Volunteerism solution to run both in-person and virtual volunteer programs. The platform made it easier for employees to find local opportunities, register, invite colleagues, and track hours in one place, while giving program managers a fuller view of participation and impact. Through its volunteering and employee giving programs, Shipt has served 6 million community members, donated $1.3 million, and helped provide 1.1 million meals through 600,000 pounds of food donated.
