How BOK Financial invests in innovative community engagement

BOK Financial Corporation, a top 25 U.S.-based bank, wanted to scale its community engagement work across employee giving, volunteerism, and corporate philanthropy. Its challenge was to support a broad set of programs while keeping them connected to the company’s values and to local communities where employees live and work.

With Bonterra CyberGrants, BOK Financial managed its employee engagement programs in the “myCommunity” dashboard and used Insights to track, measure, and improve reporting on giving and volunteer activity. In 2022, employees logged more than 33,606 volunteer hours, 358 employees served on nonprofit boards or committees, 685 nonprofit organizations received support, and the company and BOK Financial Foundation contributed $6.1 million combined.
