A Bonterra Apricot Case Study
The STAR Project is a small nonprofit in Walla Walla and Columbia Counties that helps people re-enter the community after incarceration. As the organization grew its pre-release, case management, housing, and employment programs, paper-based recordkeeping became unsustainable and it needed a way to manage data, prove outcomes for funders, and analyze long-term trends.
By implementing Apricot Core from Social Solutions, The STAR Project consolidated intake-to-outcome data, standardized forms and reporting, and improved day-to-day operations for staff. The system made compliance and grant reporting straightforward, helped secure $447,292 through the Second Chance Act, and supported better program analysis and client outcomes such as reduced recidivism.
