A Bonterra Apricot Case Study
The Bridge of Northeast Florida is a 30-year-old nonprofit serving at-risk children, adolescents and families in Jacksonville through academic, health, case management and employment programs across a main campus, nine satellites and a school partnership. As the organization expanded, its spreadsheet-based tracking could not keep up with more integrated services or funders’ demands for rigorous outcome data, creating a need for a centralized, scalable data system.
In 2012 The Bridge partnered with the United Way to implement Efforts to Outcomes (ETO) software, giving staff a single, user-friendly system to view participant files, track services and run the Early Warning Response System (EWRS) to monitor attendance and grades in real time. The change improved responsiveness and program coordination; in 2012–2013 The Bridge served 649 youth and recorded strong outcomes including 98% senior graduation, 99% avoiding pregnancy, 100% with no arrests, 167 youth employed and 52 scholarships awarded.
