A Bonterra Apricot Case Study
Delta Health Alliance’s Indianola Promise Community (IPC) is a rural, place-based initiative in the Mississippi Delta that coordinates health, education, community and faith-based services to break intergenerational poverty. Confronted with high poverty and unemployment, low educational attainment, limited health and transportation services, and gaps in after-school and teen programming, DHA needed a way to coordinate partners, measure outcomes, and demonstrate impact to secure funding and scale services.
DHA implemented Social Solutions’ Efforts to Outcomes (ETO) software, trained program partners, and adopted data-driven performance management, which helped secure a $30M, five-year Promise Neighborhoods grant and expand programs like Summer GRADS. ETO enabled participant tracking, referrals and real-time reporting; early results include 85% of 2012 Summer GRADS participants earning Mississippi Career Readiness Certification, stronger funder relationships, and plans to extend services to older youth and grow the initiative.
