Lake Wenatchee YMCA Camp, led by director Tim Meany, needed a better way to build trust with nervous parents, boost registrations and referrals, and engage volunteers and donors—challenges made acute by traditionally low email engagement and later major COVID-19 revenue losses. To address this, the camp adopted Bonjoro’s personal video tool to create one-to-one, on-site welcome and thank-you videos.
Using Bonjoro, Tim personally recorded welcome videos for every new camper (and tailored videos for volunteers, donors and prospective renters), driving dramatically higher engagement and measurable results: Bonjoro videos achieve an 85% open rate versus the camp’s typical 10% newsletter rate, one out-of-state family generated $11,000 in bookings, a single thank-you video raised $3,000 that night, an early video converted a $600 sale that paid for years of subscription, and the camp has generated over $100,000 in referrals through this approach.
