Sam's Fans, a charity that supports ill children with music and art therapy, faced the loss of its in-person Threads of Hope fundraiser in 2020 and needed to recreate the emotional donor experience online. To drive attendance for a week-long virtual event, the team used Bonjoro’s personal video tool to send individualized invitations to previous donors.
Using Bonjoro, staff recorded informal, highly personalized mobile videos (they reached out to 125 Auction of the Heart donors, with Mandy sending half the messages) and achieved 85% open rates, 51% click-through rates and 24% reply rates, generating nearly $20,000 in donations.
