EnerNOC, a leading energy intelligence and demand response provider, faced a manual, error-prone dispatch and curtailment process that required tracking thousands of touchpoints and risked costly mistakes (for example, accidentally dispatching hundreds of providers). To automate notifications and ensure scalable, reliable demand response operations, EnerNOC engaged Bonitasoft to modernize its workflow orchestration.

Bonitasoft implemented an automated workflow solution (Bonita) capable of running about 1,000 simultaneous workflow instances with manual override options, removing the need for employee self-reminders and reducing human error. The Bonitasoft solution improved productivity and scalability, enabled EnerNOC to predict dollar impacts of peak avoidance, strengthened customer relationships, and—together with other technologies—helped deliver more than $1 billion in customer savings to date.
