Cineca, an Italian non‑profit consortium of about 67 universities and 9 research institutions that builds advanced IT applications for academia and public administration, needed to modernize system integration and digital identity management. To manage user and service enrollment and internal authorization workflows, Cineca adopted Bonitasoft’s Bonita platform to support these identity lifecycle and internal process management requirements.

Bonitasoft deployed Bonita in Cineca’s system integration and identity management department, using its strengths in user‑interface programming, a business data model, and API extensions to separate process logic from the UI. The implementation streamlined enrollment and authorization workflows and improved maintainability and integration across services; the case study does not provide specific quantitative metrics of impact.
