Invoicing for complex logistical support service streamlined and accelerated

Icon Offshore Berhad, which operates a fleet of offshore support vessels across Southeast Asia, faced slow, error-prone invoicing driven by many disparate billing sources, multi-entity information handoffs, and complex calculations. To address these challenges they engaged Bonitasoft — using the Bonita application (implemented with partner Formates) — to automate, standardize and integrate the invoice-gathering and approval workflow with existing financial systems.

Bonitasoft implemented the Bonita application to replace spreadsheet-based processes with a single, standardized, remote-access workflow. The solution reduced errors and improved intercompany transmission, ensured billing data is entered once and validated before invoicing, enabled real-time invoice tracking and auditability, and cut paper usage. Measurable impacts included a drop in required staff from 5 FTE to 2 and a reduction in average invoice cycle time from 5 days to 3 days.
