Delivering interactive, cloud-based sales training with BPM

North American Company, a sales training organization, needed to modernize traditional classroom-based sales training into a measurable, goal-oriented, on-demand format that retained training investment. They required a BPM/workflow solution to integrate training videos, interactive “Sales Scenarios,” and webcam-recorded responses so managers could evaluate performance and trigger targeted follow-up. The company selected Bonitasoft and its Bonita suite for modeling and rapid application development.

Bonitasoft enabled the customer to prototype and build a SaaS training platform quickly — the team downloaded the Bonitasoft suite in December 2012 and, with one developer, completed the first application in less than eight weeks and the supporting applications shortly after. The solution includes a salesperson app (17 wizards tied to 30 videos), a manager app for progress tracking and custom follow-up, and an admin app; it connects to SugarCRM and Salesforce and now serves thousands of users. Using Bonitasoft, the company implemented measurable, goal-based training workflows where recorded responses trigger targeted coaching, improving scalability and speed of deployment.
