Case Study: Air Tahiti Nui achieves decentralized waiver approvals and accurate reporting with Bonitasoft

A Bonitasoft Case Study

Preview of the Air Tahiti Nui Case Study

Decentralized, clear waiver process makes life easier for agents, accounting and customers

Air Tahiti Nui engaged Bonitasoft to move from homegrown PHP forms to a process-based BPM solution (Bonita) to manage its complex waiver process. The airline struggled with a complicated, company-wide waiver workflow that involved many stakeholders across multiple countries, errors and incomplete data from Excel-based tracking, and a required database change from SQL Server to PostgreSQL for compatibility.

Bonitasoft implemented a Bonita-based waiver application that lets agents create waivers, request approvals, track actions and costs, and generate reports. Deployed first in Tahiti and then worldwide with about 30 trained users, the solution decentralized the process (agents create waivers, supervisors approve), produced VP-ready statistics, and delivered measurable results: Revenue Accounting reports waiver amounts are always correct and all fare and allowance information is available.
