Binter, a Spanish regional airline serving the Canary Islands and expanding to national and international routes, faced major quality-management and operational-safety challenges: heterogeneous, decoupled systems; duplicated and repetitive tasks; unsynchronized applications and users; lack of automated event control; disparate data; and difficulty improving processes. To address these issues, Binter partnered with Bonitasoft to deploy the Bonita platform for aeronautical safety and process automation.

Bonitasoft (implemented with integration partner Atlantis Technology) automated audit procedures, safety investigations and hazard management using Bonita — between 2016 and 2018 the platform managed 725 investigations. The solution added employee notifications, better task distribution, milestone control, reporting, documentation management and an integrated hazard database, cutting average safety-management time by 60%, eliminating duplications and reducing administrative load so staff can focus on higher-value work. Binter is continuing to expand Bonitasoft’s Bonita across the group and add modules such as e-signature and enhanced monitoring.
