Bonita BPM Construction of Evolutionary Power Reactors

Areva, the world leader in nuclear power and a major renewable-energy player, faced the challenge of tracking engineering changes in real time during the construction of a nuclear power plant in China. The project required automating electronic document flows between many participants, a flexible tool for quickly creating and validating applications, and seamless integration of a BPM engine—needs that led Areva to work with Bonitasoft and its Bonita BPM Engine.

Bonitasoft integrated the Bonita BPM Engine into Areva’s systems, modeling, automating and deploying eight processes now used by hundreds of people to manage 400–500 simultaneous edits per year. The solution enabled fully paperless workflows, supported change processes lasting up to a year, improved processing times and provided real-time monitoring for all stakeholders, delivering measurable operational improvements for Areva.
