Bonita BPM business rules to manage e-commerce and m-commerce payment services

LoopPay, a full-service payment service provider and the world’s first m-Commerce platform provider, faced a major operational challenge: each card network and issuer required different verification tasks and data formats, while their back-end was hard‑wired in Java to a single processor. Those constraints made processor changes costly and slowed business development. To address this, LoopPay turned to Bonitasoft and its Bonita BPM solution.

Bonitasoft implemented the Bonita BPM business‑rules engine to externalize and manage payment rules, using out‑of‑the‑box connectors (LDAP, database, web services) to integrate with existing systems. The result: faster builds and deployments, easy modification of provider‑specific rules, and the ability to scale from 25 to 500,000 users — restoring the agility to work with multiple processors and reducing the need for major programming overhauls.
