Chick-fil-A pilots reusable cups system with BOLTGROUP in a key market

Chick-fil-A faced new regulatory challenges in markets like California and New York that were banning or restricting single-use packaging for dine-in customers. To turn this challenge into an opportunity, they engaged BOLTGROUP to help them envision and develop a comprehensive, sustainable, and returnable packaging system that would enhance the guest experience while meeting new legal requirements.

BOLTGROUP conducted extensive research and designed an innovative reusable cup system, which became the core component of the new program. The solution included cups designed for efficient stacking and washing, along with an intuitive collection station to make returns easy for guests. As a result, Chick-fil-A is now piloting the BOLTGROUP-designed system in a key market, gathering valuable data to refine and expand the program while building a vision for a future comprehensive reusable packaging ecosystem.
