How Trusted Housesitters Collected Over 2,000 Boast Customer Testimonials Using a Contest

Trusted Housesitters, a peer-to-peer pet- and house-sitting marketplace, needed to overcome prospective users’ fears about leaving their homes and pets with strangers by collecting authentic customer stories. To make sharing easy and mobile-friendly, they partnered with Boast and used Boast’s embedded testimonial collection form as the core of a campaign to solicit short video and photo testimonials.

Using Boast’s collection form and display widgets, Trusted Housesitters ran a “Moments & Memories” contest with travel- and pet-relevant prizes to incentivize submissions; entrants could upload or record videos directly on site. The Boast-powered campaign generated over 2,000 customer testimonials (many videos), created a large library of shareable social proof for marketing, and visibly increased trust signals across the site.
