The City of Fayetteville, North Carolina, launched TRACStat to track program performance, support program-based budgeting, and increase transparency for its 208,000 residents. Relying on spreadsheets proved labor-intensive, error-prone, and unsuitable for historical analysis or automated review workflows, and the City needed an interactive, web-accessible way to share performance and budget data with residents who had asked for online access and input into reporting priorities.

Fayetteville selected the configurable BOARD platform (with integrator Neubrain) to develop TRACStat, created a citywide Data Analytics Team, and blended budget and performance data to automate reporting and the annual budget presentation. The system maintains historical data, supports scheduled data collection and contextual commentary, and publishes a public portal with drill-down views for officials and citizens—resulting in streamlined processes, greater accountability, improved decision-making, and a stronger data-driven culture.
