Case Study: König+Neurath achieves unified, Excel-free corporate planning with BOARD

A Board Case Study

Preview of the König+Neurath Case Study

Sitting on a comfortably planning platform

König + Neurath is a family‑owned German office‑furniture manufacturer (founded 1925) with a nationwide dealer network and large production and logistics capacity. The company faced fragmented, Excel‑based planning across profit centers that required complex consolidation, offered limited graphical reporting, and relied on multiple SAP R/3 modules (SD, FI, CO) to gather data—making integrated, top‑down/bottom‑up planning impractical.

To solve this, König + Neurath implemented BOARD, a rapid, user‑friendly BI/OLAP platform, connecting directly to SAP via ODBC and replacing ad‑hoc Excel processes. They built standardized planning modules (sales using the counter‑current method, HR costs, investments, etc.), gained flexible, centralized data collection and analysis, and achieved faster, more consistent planning and reporting with improved usability and integration.
