Service Express Inc. (SEI) is a Grand Rapids–based provider of on-site hardware maintenance for mission-critical servers, storage and networking equipment. By 2013 SEI’s budgeting and reporting relied on multiple, conflicting Excel spreadsheets that confused executives and slowed decision-making, so the company sought an enterprise-wide, centralized performance management solution to deliver consistent, dynamic reporting.
SEI selected the cloud-based BOARD platform to consolidate data into a single analytics engine and launched budgeting/forecasting, scorecards and service/training reporting beginning in spring 2014. The system created a single version of the truth, empowered users across the company (not just accounting), improved long-range revenue and earnings forecasts, enabled drill-down analytics into key metrics and support trends, and delivered measurable efficiency gains and high user satisfaction with ongoing plans to expand ROI.
