BASF Agricultural Solutions, part of global chemicals leader BASF, faced a highly complex agrochemical business: thousands of delivery and billing points, overlapping sales coverage, strict compliance, and many roles that needed timely, role-based access to planning, pricing and sales data. The division needed a flexible, ERP/CRM-compatible platform to simplify budgeting, forecasting and reporting while enabling sales teams to spend less time on analysis and more time with customers.
BASF selected the Board decision-making platform to deliver Sales & Operations Planning, price forecasting, customer profitability and order-tracking applications with strong write-back, data integration (SAP/CRM), security, approval workflows and simultaneous remote data entry. The solution streamlined planning and forecasting into an end-to-end S&OP process, improved margin and price control, enabled self-service analytics and in-house app development, and was scaled to other European sites—delivering faster decisions, better KPI monitoring and a more customer-centric sales force.
