Case Study: POLO achieves automated integrated retail planning, accurate forecasting, and reduced costs with Board

A Board Case Study

Preview of the POLO Case Study

POLO integrates retail planning and analysis with Board Automation with the flexibility to incorporate employee experience and expected events drives efficiency and reduces costs

POLO Motorrad und Sportswear GmbH is a 40-year-old German retailer of motorcycle clothing, accessories and tech with 90 stores across Germany, Switzerland and Austria and a catalog of over 65,000 products. Facing a legacy planning process that lacked transparency, detail and performance, POLO needed a company-wide integrated solution to improve forecasting accuracy, collaboration and efficiency.

Working with celver AG, POLO implemented the Board Intelligent Planning Platform to automate annual planning, rolling forecasts and daily order proposals (covering ~98% of SKUs) with dynamic workflows, validation alerts and comprehensive reporting. The result: better on‑shelf availability, optimized stock distribution and lower costs—four dispatch staff now manage 65,000 items across 250 suppliers—freed-up capital and stronger supplier collaboration, with the platform being expanded to additional users and financial planning.
