Case Study: Toyota Motor Europe achieves unified pan‑European planning and near‑real‑time reporting with Board

A Board Case Study

Preview of the Toyota Case Study

Pan-European Planning and Reporting at Toyota Motor Europe Driving profitability analysis and planning transformation across 40 companies

Toyota Motor Europe (TME), the Brussels-headquartered division of Toyota with 40 group companies and €29.28 billion in revenue, faced fragmented, Excel-driven budgeting, forecasting and reporting that were hard to maintain and didn’t provide the flexibility or standardization needed to consolidate data for the parent company. TME launched a finance transformation to replace disparate spreadsheets with a unified, controlled planning approach across manufacturing, logistics and sales entities.

After a successful proof of concept, TME implemented the Board decision-making platform on top of its ERP and data warehouse in a phased, three-year rollout. Today 750 users work in a near-real-time, standardized environment for P&L generation, variance analysis, five-year CAPEX planning and scenario modeling (120 versions), delivering automated group reporting, faster planning cycles, reduced manual effort and improved insight and control for better decision-making.
