As demand grew, its finance team was burdened by slow, error-prone spreadsheet-based budgeting—manual data collation, version-control issues and limited ability to compare actuals to budgets made planning inefficient and time-consuming.
Working with Mecklemore, Ability Options deployed the Board Intelligent Planning platform in four months, moving to driver-based budgeting and integrating accounting and payroll systems. The automated, self-service solution created a single source of truth, sped up month-end reporting and saved roughly $150k and over 1,900 hours of manual work, with plans to extend Board to wider reporting and KPIs.
