Case Study: Groupe SEB achieves agile end-to-end budgeting, planning and consolidated weekly sales from 150 subsidiaries with Board

A Board Case Study

Preview of the Groupe SEB Case Study

Enterprise Performance Management at Groupe SEB

Groupe SEB, a global leader in small domestic equipment with 33,000+ employees and nearly 30 brands sold in 150 countries, faced slow, manual and rigid budgeting, planning and reporting processes built on a legacy SAP BW system. The finance organization lacked simulation capabilities, user-friendly reporting and workflow-driven consolidation—making strategic and operational planning time-consuming and limiting agility across the group.

Groupe SEB implemented the Board decision-making platform through its FAST program to create a unified BI & EPM layer on top of SAP, migrating 800+ reports and building simulation cubes for five-year strategic planning. The solution consolidated Weekly Sales Estimates from all 150 subsidiaries, enabled multi-scenario modeling (ROPA), streamlined lease accounting and sped up report creation. The result: collaborative, iterative planning, faster time-to-solution, greater finance self-sufficiency and a “snowball effect” of new, value-adding applications.
