A Board Case Study
Banca d’Alba, one of Italy’s leading cooperative credit banks (73 branches, €9.4bn assets, 156,000 customers), needed to modernize and unify its planning, management control and budgeting processes. The bank faced the dual challenge of integrating top‑down strategic direction with bottom‑up branch input, speeding up reporting to branch managers and controllers, and building a robust risk‑management framework to meet tightening regulatory and market requirements.
Working with BIOS Management, Banca d’Alba implemented the Board Intelligent Planning platform to deliver FP&A, BI, KPI dashboards, operational budgeting and the BEAM predictive analytics module. The unified solution produced a three‑year strategic plan tied to annual departmental budgets, accelerated report distribution, enabled customer/product profitability and churn analysis, and integrated risk controls (including bad‑debt monitoring). As a result, decision‑making, forecasting and regulatory compliance improved while marketing and risk strategies became more data‑driven.
