Diehl Metering, part of the Diehl Group, develops smart metering hardware and software with over 2,000 employees and millions of meters produced annually. The company faced fragmented regional reporting across Europe, the Americas and Asia—different currencies, languages, KPI logics and heavy IT dependence on an SAP BW solution—which made consolidated sales planning, analysis and transparency across the sub‑group impractical.

After evaluating multiple tools, Diehl Metering implemented the programming‑free BOARD platform with a new MS SQL Server data warehouse, standardized SAP interfaces and daily updates. Within six months four sites were on the central planning system, enabling unified sales planning (covering annual planning of 25,000 customers and 100,000 materials), intercompany workflows, self‑service reporting and a single version of the truth—reducing Excel workarounds, increasing efficiency and delivering cross‑border transparency.
