KFC UK, part of the global KFC/Yum! Brands group with over 900 restaurants and 24,000 employees, faced slow, error-prone restaurant planning driven by complex, spreadsheet-based processes. Planning sales, labor and many operational drivers (electricity, uniforms, security, etc.) required manual consolidation from multiple sources, making scenario changes cumbersome and time-consuming.

KFC implemented an Integrated Business Planning solution on the Board platform, delivered with an agile approach by partner Better Decisions Group (bdg), creating a single source of truth and automated driver calculations. The new model cut planning cycle time by about 75%, reduced duplication and errors, improved auditability and quality, enabled rapid scenario updates and strategic simulations, and left the KFC team able to manage and extend the planning solution independently.
