Defining the Control Management Processes at DAMM

Barcelona-based brewery Damm, with €1.1 billion in annual turnover and a leading market position in north-east Spain, needed to rethink its IT and control-management approach after a large SAP rollout. The company engaged Vincle / MI Consulting to define a top-down business process management model, establish corporate reporting for the steering committee, redesign budgeting by business and channel from the GM’s business plan to detailed budgets, and validate the right software platform.

Damm implemented the BOARD unified decision-making platform across three workstreams—strategy maps, KPIs/reporting, and budgeting/planning—using BOARD’s drag-and-drop toolkit and multi-cube engine to centralize processes and link heterogeneous data. The solution enabled rapid scorecards and initiative workflows and delivered advanced capabilities for complex modeling and analysis, including activity-based costing, unlimited scenarios, make-or-buy modeling, multi-level cost allocations, impact analysis, and key financial metrics (EVA, ROI, free cash flow).
