A Board Case Study
Quorn Foods, a £220m consumer goods company best known for its Quorn and Cauldron meat‑free brands, was struggling with a manually intensive, spreadsheet-driven forecasting process. Producing a bottom-up P&L took four to five weeks and the sales team spent more time forecasting than selling, creating delays and inconsistencies that constrained commercial decision-making.
To fix this Quorn implemented the Board decision‑making platform with partner Simpson Associates, unifying BI, planning and predictive analytics into a single version of the truth. The new process cut month‑end reporting time by about 75% (from roughly eight days to two–three), sped up P&L production, enabled live scenario modelling for promotions, distribution and investment, and freed finance and sales to focus on higher‑value analysis and faster, more confident decisions.
