Case Study: Bata Industrials achieves optimised supply‑chain planning and accurate scenario‑driven forecasting with Board

A Board Case Study

Preview of the Bata Industrials Case Study

Board streamlines global retail operations and financial forecasting to optimize decision-making and accelerate growth

Compar S.p.A., the Italian arm of the Bata group with over 400 outlets and about 350 employees, operates multiple store formats (Bata City, Superstore, Factory Store and Athletes World) and a growing franchise channel. Rapid expansion and the fashion market’s fast-changing dynamics created complex, asynchronous planning needs across sales, purchasing, distribution, stock and margins, requiring an integrated process and IT solution to simulate scenarios, align stakeholders and translate strategy into operational plans.

Working with SDG, Compar implemented a supply-chain–oriented planning model on a multidimensional BOARD platform, built after detailed process mapping to link procurement, distribution and sales and to support multiple aggregation levels and scenario simulations. The result was faster, more reliable forecasts and variance analysis, clearer planning levers and improved coordination between functions; planning outputs now feed economic‑financial processes and provide a scalable foundation for international roll‑out and enhanced reporting.
