BASF Agro, the Italian agrochemical division of global chemical leader BASF, needed a flexible BI solution to manage a highly complex commercial structure—over 50 salespeople, roughly 1,000 billing points with multiple delivery locations, and multiple planning, forecasting and pricing layers. The company required fast, timely analytics to support decision-making and optimize planning and control across sales and finance.

After a vendor selection, BASF Agro implemented BOARD, chosen for its combined analysis and budgeting capabilities in one environment and its ease of development and maintenance. Deployed in four months, BOARD provides ETL integration, write‑back, robust security and remote data entry, powering sales, finance and executive reporting (turnover, orders, credit and budget deviations). The solution improved planning and control, enabled profitability analysis by client/product and continues to evolve with plans to extend into SCM performance management.
