B-Source, the Swiss leader in sourcing bank back-office and IT services for private banking and wealth management, supports thousands of users and handles millions of daily transactions across a complex, high‑volume IT landscape. The finance and IT teams found Excel could no longer meet their needs for reporting and analysis of SAP-derived data; SAP BW was considered but rejected due to cost, rigidity and long lead times.

They implemented BOARD on top of a SQL data warehouse to create multidimensional profitability views (customer, service, BU), add granular detail and reallocate costs and revenues; BOARD also powers transaction‑based service invoicing and group consolidation. The result was faster, more secure and centralized reporting, intuitive administration (improved further by the v7 upgrade), interactive front‑end analysis and the new ability to run simulations and dynamic forecasts for budgeting and scenario planning.
