Amadori, a leading Italian agri-food company, faced the challenge of improving demand forecasting across a complex supply chain with about 3,000 SKUs and five sales channels. Its previous process was fragmented and relied on many sales contacts rather than a unified, company-wide view, making forecasts partly subjective and less accurate. Amadori turned to Board and its demand planning solution to support a transformation of its planning processes.
Board implemented a centralized demand planning model that shifted forecasting to a dedicated team of nine planners, automated much of the process, and added advanced algorithms to better handle seasonality, trends, and holidays. Integrated with Amadori’s ERP, Board improved communication with sales teams and enabled faster updates to supply chain plans, resulting in higher forecast accuracy, lower BIAS and MAPE errors, and a more agile, resilient supply chain.
