Case Study: CIRA achieves smarter planning and faster control with Board

Development of a new planning and control model for CIRA

CIRA, the Italian Aerospace Research Centre, needed a better way to manage its growing number of projects, resources, and facilities. Its traditional systems could no longer support multi-year financial planning, monthly reporting, and the integration of data from multiple sources, so CIRA turned to Board and its planning platform to create a more unified planning and control process.

Working with Board, CIRA launched SPICO, a cloud-based Integrated Planning and Control System that connects strategic and operational planning, reporting, project management, and what-if analysis in one platform. The results include management of over 300 projects and 50 facilities, support for more than 120 users, and faster approval, profitability analysis, and control processes, while enabling highly accurate multi-year financial plans.
